Tell me again,

Why I have so much love yet still feel the pain,

Why regardless of how much I have there's still a part of me I can't contain,

Mama tell me the stories again,

Of winds that's play so sorrowful they make the clouds cry with passion and their tears become our rain,

Mama tell me again.

I'm stuck in this riddled part of me,

With a feeling so destitute and lifeless and I wallow in the pains of wanting to be free.

Constantly questioning my decisions as I lose touch of that vision I desperately want to see,

Mama tell me the stories of the boy who found where the river meets the sea,

Mama tell me again of the sky so vastly blue their mere beauty reflects on the surface of the oceans and river we see.

Mama tell me again how let go of everything that's hurting me.

Mama tell me again why she had to leave and never retain,

Why her presence and smiles feel like my only concern.

Mama tell me again would you be proud of everything I've had to learn,

Of all the bad decisions and choices I've made to get to where I am.

Mama tell me again,

Would you hold me tightly in your arms and say you still see your sweet little boy in the broken man I am.

Mama tell me again of the day I'll finally get to meet you where the heavens meet the earth and turn its waters to rain,

Mama tell me again the stories of the conqueror and warrior i am.
